Welcome to Sharon Sonnex Reflexology

What is reflexology?
Reflexology is a gentle, non-invasive complementary therapy that promotes deep relaxation and well-being, allowing the body to balance and start to restore. Reflexology is based on the theory that different areas of the body are mirrored onto the feet, making them micro maps of the body. During a Reflexology treatment pressure is applied to different points on the feet known as reflexes, to work out any imbalances.

Reflexology is a great tool to relax and reduce the impact of stress on the body. Stress is at the root of many physical and mental health conditions today. Reflexology can be key in optimising good health and building resilience for the impact of modern lifestyles.
Reflexology to support your well being
There are many different ways reflexology can support your wellbeing:
- Reflexology is deeply relaxing and reduces the impact of stress on the body
- Reflexology improves poor sleep patterns and quality of sleep
- Reflexology improves mood and supports emotional and mental health positively
- Reflexology helps relieve tension and improves your overall sense of wellbeing

Reflexology – A support for modern living
If we are in a constant state of stress, our bodies are in a constant state of “fight or flight” and our health and wellbeing is likely to become unbalanced and compromised. In our very busy world of information overload through social media and modern technology, there is a huge amount of value in taking time for you, to relax deeply, quieten the mind and completely switch off.
Reflexology to support Pregnancy
Pregnancy is a wonderful, life changing experience, but it can be a stressful one. If you find yourself needing to relax and release stress during your pregnancy, reflexology may be just the thing for you to quieten a busy mind, relax deeply and bring balance.
During pregnancy you have many physical, structural and emotional changes happening all at the same time. Reflexology supports your body to make these changes as comfortably as possible.
There is plenty of anecdotal evidence from women who feel that they have benefited from reflexology throughout their pregnancy.

Reflexology to support the Menopause
Have you ever thought about trying Reflexology to support your transition through Perimenopause to Menopause?
As a fully qualified reflexologist and member of the Association of Reflexologists I have also trained in “Reflexology for Menopause “, which means I can better support my clients on their menopause journey and help them to feel more like themselves during what can be a difficult time in their lives.
Every woman’s experience, of this time in their life is different and there are many menopause symptoms, so there is never a one size all fits all approach, to your Reflexology for Menopause session.
Reflexology may be a great support through what can be a difficult time in your life. It provides a safe space to switch off and relax deeply and an opportunity for you to find improved physical and emotional well-being.

As your reflexologist I offer you:
- A safe space to share how the menopause is affecting you.
- A reflexology plan based on your symptoms – everyone’s experiences and symptoms are very different. This is not a one size fits all approach.
- The sharing of knowledge should you want to know about lifestyle changes to support you through perimenopause and menopause.
- A space to switch off and relax deeply.
- An opportunity for you to find improved physical and emotional well-being.
Everyone responds differently to reflexology and really the only way to know how it will benefit you is to book yourself a session.
